The Night Shift

What if you could live forever? What if you had to spend that eternity stuck in a cemetery with only a limbless corpse for a friend, and cantankerous "residents" that were anything but resting in peace? That's the situation for Rue Morgan, night watchman extraordinaire, in this rollicking supernatural adventure-comedy. Rue, along with his buddy Herb, spends his nights watching out for zombies, and his days dreaming of a date with hard-nosed day-shifter, Claire. It's an okay eternity--until a scourge of paranormal occurrences leaves Rue not only watching the cemetery, but also watching his back! Based on the hit short film that critics have called "delightful", "charming", and "unapologetically goofy", "The Night Shift" is guaranteed to be the most fun you've ever had in a cemetery!

Biography

Born in Mobile, Alabama, Søren Christian Odom began his long love of music at a young age. A lover of film music, Søren studied the works of the great movie masters: Williams, Goldsmith, Horner, etc. Søren's official music training began in high school as a percussionist, though he had spent many a year already (since age 12) learning guitar and piano at his own pace. Soren studied classical music in college at the University of South Alabama graduating with two bachelor's degrees; one in Film/Television, the other in Music Education. Throughout his collegiate stay, Søren built his film music repertoire working on the films of Thomas Smith, whom Søren met through mutual friends. This partnership still lasts to this day as Soren has been "Composer in Residence" for Thomas's production company: Fighting Owl Films, based in Mobile. Søren used his penchant for teaching in Mobile to build a career in percussion education that included high school music, as well as collegiate instruction at his former Alma mater. After two bachelor's degrees, Søren set his sights on higher education. He was accepted and studied with Hummie Mann at the Pacific Northwest Film Scoring Program at SFI (Seattle Film Institute). Søren's master's studies concluded in Summer of 2018, where upon completion, Søren moved to Los Angeles to continue work in the film industry. On November 11th, 2019, Søren joined Verloren Productions.
