Air We Breathe tells the story of John Foster who, years after his writing career peaked, is losing his grip on life, love and family when Dylan Avery, a 25-year old who upon the death of his father, comes searching out Foster to initiate a relationship. This short story portrays the challenges that Foster has internally as well as how his relationship spirals downward with his girlfriend Joanna and her 20-something daughter Paige as they are all confronted with Foster's darkness even while they deal with their own emotional mother/daughter struggles.

In 2009, he played Norville "Shaggy" Rogers in the film, Scooby-Doo! The Mystery Begins and reprised the role in Scooby-Doo! Curse of the Lake Monster which aired in October 2010.
