Adarsh (Sanjay Dutt) and Aniket (Govinda) are brothers. Aniket is the elder, while Adarsh is the younger one. Both go to the same college, where beautiful Guddi (Mamta Kulkarni) has a crush on him, and vice-versa. Meanwhile, Adarsh is up to college pranks and practical jokes. One of these pranks and jokes land him into trouble in a girls only hostel. When the time comes to leave college and seek a career, both brothers chose a different path, one of which leads to the destruction and separation of their family. Will they reunite in the end?

Yogi Joshi (Kamal Sadanah) is the hardworking middle class student who goes to college with the traditional Pooja (Ayesha Julka), who is the daughter of a single-father. Pooja has been in love with Yogi for quite some time, but Yogi seems to see her as a good friend. Yogi's father (Bharat Kapoor) works at the factory owned by the successful Indu Singh (Amrita Singh). Indu admits her daughter into the same college as Yogi and Pooja. She is a trustee of the college and is assured by the Principal that Kajal is in good hands. Kajal (Divya Bharti) goes to college and tries to park in Pooja's spot, but Pooja cuts her off. The two get in an altercation and to show Pooja how much power Kajal has, she drives her jeep into the corridors of the college and stops right in front of Pooja and her friends, including Yogi.

Neha is employ by Hari Saxena as a dancer and singer and has many fans. She relocates to a distant village for solace and gets to meet one of her die-hard fan who also paints her hoardings for her shows Rajesh Tripathi alias Raja; who is reluctant to be friends with her but Neha is least interested and wants nothing to do with him. He continues to pursue her only to be belittle; then situations turn violent forcing her to finally accept his friendship. She confides her story to him and he arranges to have her career restore to her by risking his own life so that she can seek medical treatment to return her voice as well as arranges show to popularize her once again.

Divya Bharti (February 25, 1974 - April 5, 1993) was an Indian film actress. She started her career in 1990 with the film Bobbili Raja. After several other hits in the South, she entered Hindi films with 'Vishwatma' in 1992, for which she earned accolades for her performance in the song Saat Samundar Paar. She appeared in more than 14 Hindi films between 1992 and 1993. Her career was cut short by her death on April 5, 1993, when she fell off from her apartment building.
