Billy Chew began his career in documentary at the Center for Public Television & Radio out of Tuscaloosa, Alabama, before moving to Los Angeles in 2010. His film The Gleam, an interactive documentary co-directed with Daniel Scheinert, featured at the 2014 Tribeca Film Festival as well as at the immersive storytelling program, Convergence, during the 54th NYFF in 2016. His screenwriting debut, The Death of Dick Long, premiered in the NEXT category at the 2019 Sundance Film Festival.
