The main character of the film is Paunvere tailor Jorh Adniel Kiir. Two young seamstresses, Juuli and Maali, arrive in Paunvere. At first, Kiir regards them as competitors, but then he establishes friendly relations with them. Kiir marries Juuli, but he is not indifferent to Maali either. The film also follows Kiir's efforts to get his own farm.
Arno Liiver (born October 12, 1954) is an Estonian film actor. He studied to be an electrician at the 12th Vocational High School in Tallinn and worked as a car and taxi driver in Tallinn for many years, as well as a locksmith. Since 2002, Arno Liiver lives in Hiiumaa, where he keeps cattle. Arno Liiver became known with the role of Arno Tali in the feature film "Spring" (1969, directed by Arvo Kruusement). This was followed by Arno Tali's roles in the feature films "Summer" (1976) and "Autumn" (1990).
